We perused handcrafted jewelry, local artwork, and Bavarian-themed souvenirs, taking home a few treasures to remember our visit by. The friendly shopkeepers added a personal touch, sharing stories and recommendations that enhanced our experience.
Riverside Park and the Covered Bridge
Our walk wouldn’t have been complete without a visit to Riverside Park and the iconic Covered Bridge. We crossed the wooden bridge, marveling at its rustic charm and the tranquil Cass River flowing beneath it.
The park provided a serene oasis, inviting us to sit on a bench and soak in the natural beauty that surrounded us. Families picnicked on the grass, children played in the playground, and the sounds of laughter filled the air. It was a moment of pure bliss, and we couldn’t help but be grateful for the simple joys that nature offers.
The Frankenmuth Cheese Haus: A Cheese Lover’s Paradise
Our first stop was the Frankenmuth Cheese Haus, a haven for cheese enthusiasts. As we stepped inside, we were greeted by the tantalizing aroma of various cheese varieties. The shop boasted an impressive selection of both local and international cheeses, each with its own distinctive flavor.
From tangy cheddar to creamy blues, the Cheese Haus had something to satisfy every palate. We left with a delightful assortment of cheeses that would soon become the highlight of our culinary adventures.

No visit to Frankenmuth would be complete without indulging in some delectable fudge. At the Frankenmuth Fudge Kitchen, we were greeted by the sight of skilled confectioners meticulously handcrafting a variety of mouthwatering fudge flavors.
The sheer range of options was astounding, from classic chocolate to unique combinations like peanut butter caramel swirl. We watched in awe as the fudge was expertly poured, mixed, and cooled on the marble slab. Of course, we couldn’t resist sampling a few different flavors ourselves. The velvety texture and rich flavors left us craving for more, and we left with a generous box of fudge to savor later.
Zak & Mac’s Chocolate Haus: A Chocolate Lover’s Paradise
